Biogas is actually a mixture of gases, usually carbon dioxide and methane. Methane is the enriching component which is used for energetic use. Besides that, it may contain steam, hydrogen sulphide, ammonia, hydrogen and even traces of low fatty acids and alcohols.
Biogas is produced in fermentation tanks. Sludge, bio-waste and leftovers, fertiliser such as dung and liquid manure and selective energy plants like corn are ideally suited as input. It is a gas mixture which develops through microbial degradation of organic substances in vacua.
The energetic premium biogas can be converted to the block heat and power plant. The electricity produced in this way and heat can be used, during the process. The remaining substances are water and fermented organic material which may be used as high quality fertiliser.
Biogas is forward looking. Mixing it with wind-waterpower, photovoltaics and geothermy even a full supply is possible!
Input materials for your biogas plant
You can ferment various organic substances in a biogas plant. PlanET endeavours, on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of your input materials, to find the appropriate concept and technique for you.
Agriculturally biogenous waste material like dung and liquid manure from:
Cows, calves, bulls, sows, farrows, porkers, chicken, hens, turkey hens, sheep.
Energy crops:
corn, grass silage, intercrop, beets, silage, potatoes, crop, sunflower silage, green rye
Co-ferments like:
Apple pomace, brewer’s grains, biological waste, bleaching clay, flower waste, grease separation, fatty vegetable sludge, flotate sludge, solid fruit and vegetable waste. Hogwash, green fodder, potato pulp, distiller’s wash from potatoes, food remains, manure and digestive tract contents, mayonnaise, flour dust, whey, oilseed residues, paunch manure, purifying grains/corns, RME Glycerine, sugar beet pulp, beet tails, leftovers.
we will arrange for the in-house PlanET laboratory team of experts headed by Dr. Annette Sander to provide your feasibility studies and expert opinions for an energetic usage of your renewable raw materials.
Turn your dung into money!
Demand the best from our experience in agricultural plant engineering! The PlanET small scale plants operate according to the requirements of agricultural plants. A modular support and service concept allows us to meet your individual requirements with the extensive experience of our staff.
By using dung and fermenter as free ‚fuel’ for your biogas plant you are permanently independent from rising energy costs. You do not only win from the sale of electricity and heat but also from saving up to 25.000 l heating oil per year.
If you wish, your biogas plant will be equipped with a PlanET dung management system. As easy as it is flexible, the system transports the liquid input material into the fermenter, also carrying it back to the substrate stock. |
